I've been playing with Apollo for a few days now. After seeing the demo of how eBay is using Apollo to create a desktop version, the question I have is why is Google not doing this for their apps?

It would have support for off-line documents, auto-uploading of changes once it detects a network connection and the ability to open both local and remote files.

With the Google Apps API available, someone with time and energy could build a proof of concept app that might get them interested.
